Almost everything in this bag - the compact, the purse and makeup bag, my sunglasses - was a gift, so has sentimental value. The bag I found in my mother's wardrobe - she bought it at a market in Fiji on a family holiday 15 years ago - so when I leave the house with it every day I think of her.

I bought my bag at the beginning of the summer at Banana Republic, it’s really durable and goes everywhere and holds everything!
Items in my bag:
- Green Marc Jacobs make-up case: It helps me keep my makeup organized, in one place so I don’t loose my lipstick, powder, and mascara, etc in my bottomless bag. It also makes a great clutch if I wind up going out straight from work.
- WWD: I never have time to read the paper at work, so it becomes my subway reading, to keep up with the trends and developments in the industry.
- Mascara and Lip gloss: I always carry these two items with me. I once heard a stylist say these are the must-have make-up items to refresh your face!
- Revlon nail polish: I just bought this color for Fall and it’s been in my purse for the last week- in hopes that I get out of work early enough to go to the salon.
- Cell phone: I’ve broken/lost about 3 over the last couple years and this is a cell phone circa 2004 (old in the cell-phone world). I refuse to buy another...for now.
- Journal: I love writing, I just never seem to do it, but always keep this journal in my purse should I be inspired!
- Apple: Healthy snack
- Gum: For after I eat the apple!
I love that I can carry it on my arm like a lady or wear it like a messenger bag over my shoulder when my hands are full.
- Lacoste pouch: This came inside a cool Lacoste tote bag I got at their Spring 2008 fashion show. I hate having to dig around for something inside my handbag, so I use pouches to keep things organized. This one is for beauty products.
- Anna Sui Mini Rouge: Anna Sui’s beauty products are just as cool as her clothes. I carry this on my keychain.
- Sheer Cover Extra Length mascara: Never clumps!
- C.O. Bigelow Ultra Menthe lip shine: Tastes great, plus the minty smell is a great little pick-me-up when my energy is low.
- Band-Aid Blister Block stick: I love anything that prevents foot pain. This stick keeps shoes from rubbing against your skin and causing blisters.
- Blackberry Curve: It only took me about two days to realize why everyone calls it a Crackberry. I’m addicted to this thing!
- Hermes agenda: I’m always making notes and jotting down ideas, so why not do it in style? (The pen is a Bic though.)
- Passport: Someone once told me that I should always carry my passport in case I’m ever whisked off to Paris on a moment’s notice. It hasn’t happened yet, but at least I can use it for ID instead of my horrible driver’s license photo.
- Sony tape recorder: Always in my bag in case I need to interview a celebrity.
- 5 Rain gum: Always in my bag in case I need to interview a celebrity.
- Gucci aviator sunglasses: Ever since Top Gun I’ve believed that aviators are the epitome of cool. And they go with everything.
